This whole adorable surprise engagement shoot was orchestrated by the groom and the bride-to-be’s best friend (she was hiding in some bushes nearby while I pretended to photograph some sea ducks). We were both so excited waiting for the couple to arrive at Purgatory Chasm, where W planned to pop the question, that we both had butterflies in our stomachs and were laughing that our hands were sweating, even though this happened on that first absolutely frigid day we had this winter. The rocks that overlook Second Beach in Middletown, RI were the perfect place for a proposal, with a brilliant backdrop of wide open sea and sky and plenty of sunshine. Congratulations, M + W!
