Artifacts of my Existence

Mulling over a new genre: the still life.  I think it is time for me to look closer to home (even my Greek home) for photo subjects.  I actually miss my little apartment in Newport a lot (disposable snap below), but it’s funny, when I was there I just didn’t want to take pictures.  For a long time and contrary to its original parameters, my blog has not really had anything to do with Rhode Island.  I am trying to be ok with that, to let myself find creativity wherever it may be, but I also know that I need to challenge myself to dig deeper into ideas of home when I work.  As always, this girl has been an incredible source of inspiration for me.  I love what Sara Wallach is doing with Portra 120mm in her Bard photography classes!
